• Hi there,

Ok, so I’ve researched this issue and I can’t seem to figure it out, so please forgive me if it’s painfully obvious. I can’t seem to edit the footer in the Responsive theme. Surely there’s an easy way to do it? I see there’s a php file for it, but as I don’t know the first thing about Java I’d like to know is there an easy way to add a privacy policy page etc. to the footer?

    All help much appreciated! Thanks!

  • Hello Arlene,
The most straightforward way to do it without having to play in code would be to use the footer widget with a custom menu for your privacy policy page.

Let me know if that helps.

    Hi Bradford,

Thanks so much for your reply! The problem is I don’t have a footer widget. I have no idea why it isn’t there with the other widgets… Maybe Responsive doesn’t have a footer widget?

    Cheers,
    Arlene

I had read something yesterday saying that the most recent theme update for responsive was causing some issues with widgets. I read that cyberchimps fixed the problem with the update themselves, but you needed to update from their page.
    Go here: http://wordpress.org/themes/responsive
and download the latest version. If you need help uploading the downloaded update let me know. I’ll walk you through it.
Let’s see if that brings your footer widget back.
