Was it working before? Any error message about why is broken?
To see errors make sure you set WB_DEBUG to TRUE.

You can see there’s a folder of Summer School Germany 2013. But that folder doesn’t display a thumbnail image.
and when you click that folder, the picture inside also doesn’t disply thumbnail image.
How to fix this?

What do you mean with “put the gallery folder outside uploads.”?
Check the plugin settings page, you see that the gallery folder is inside the uploads folder..

After moving the gallery folder, just go update gallery path in the plugin settings page.
Klihelp, I moved gallery folder from wp-content/uploads/gallery to wp-content/gallery, and I’ve also update the gallery path.
But the problem is not resolved. Thumbnail image still not appear. Is there any other way to fix this?

Based on your clue, I deactivated Photon (CDN service by Jetpack).
