Creating a nested menu under appearance -> menus

    When working in appearance -> menus, it shows I’ve created a nested menu (3) levels deep. The top level item, say ‘TOP’ has SUB1 under it offset to the right and SUB1 has SUB2 under it and offset to the right under SUB1. Everything is saved and updated. When the page displays, only TOP with SUB1 under it appears in the menu bar. When the cursor hovers over SUB1, why doesn’t SUB2 appear?
