Pages outside wp directory

Hi,

I have a blog at http://example.com/weblog. Any Page that I create is filed as http://example.com/weblog/Page.

I would rather it be something like http://example.com/directory/Page etc.

Does anyone know how I can achieve this? If it involves editing .htaccess, please tell me the edits, else point to a url where i can learn.
