Allow users to post articles?

    I would like to allow readers to post articles, stories, etc. I see that there is a Role Manager where I can assign roles such as Editor, Author, etc, but no matter what role I assign, it still does not allow people to post.

    Furthermore I want to allow people to post without having to approve their registrations first. Ideally the posts would require Admin approval before appearing on the site, but anyone would be able to post, even if they’re not registered. Can anyone advise me on how to do this? I appreciate your help.

    No way. You can not do that.

    I don’t understand WHY the Role Manager doesn’t work for you – it works for everyone else.
    Making a post or publishing a post are two (2) different things! Maybe you should read a bit in the plugin’s admin page 🙂
    You can assign roles, you can edit/change the capabilities of any Role; you can create Roles… the possibilities are endless.

    But, regardless how “low” or “high” the role is – for posting the user has to be logged in. Which means > has to be registered.
