I am running multiple sites within WordPress Multi-Site. One each site, I create one page as the parent and several pages under that – I suppose they are the child pages? I am trying to list those child pages as the topic, and let my users post to that subject. I want to give my users the ability to post, and comment to the post, but not the page. Also I do not want users to have the ability to have a dashboard and create pages themselves; just a post to express their opinion about the topic. Further, when a user is on one of the child pages, I don’t want them to be able to see the posts on a separate child page.

Hopefully this all makes sense. There is a lot more I’m trying to do with WordPress MS, but this is a start. By the way, I’m also running Buddypress.

Last note; I’m a newbie. Learning and having fun. 🙂

  • What you describe sounds like the built in blogging capability…”topics” would be a category you or your users can post under and others can leave comments.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I’ll give this a try later this week when I can break away from my day job.
