• I’m having difficulty placing an image map in a page of my site. I can get the image map working, but whenever I try to add links to the different parts of it, after submitting the page, wordpress just removes all of the hrefs. What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Just tried it as a standalone html file and it worked fine, so I doubt I’m messing up with the html. I think wordpress is just being wonky.

  • It sounds like you’re pasting HTML code directly into the WYSIWYG editor? That way surely leads to disaster.

Easiest way (imho) would be to check out the documentation on Pages and build yourself a new Page Template. Add your image map code to the template. Then, create a new Page, choose your new Page Template, add whatever other content you want and done.

Or, if you just have to put html into your content, disable the WYSIWYG editor. Users -> Your Profile. Bottom checkbox on the page, uncheck and save.

Awesome. Disabled the Rich Text Editor, put in the code, it works properly now. Thanks much.
