Permalinks aren’t working with EasyPHP

Permalinks aren’t working with EasyPHP. I’ve searched the forum and found someone else stating the same thing. I’ve enabled mod rewrite in apache. Is there anything else I need to do? It’s a pain because links on my PC aren’t the same as links on the server. I’m willing to switch to the other PHP install (XAPP or XAMP whatever it’s called) if this will fix my problem. I’d just like a confirmation first.
