• Hi,

I’ve noticed that when I submit a comment to a WordPress blog it doesn’t show anymore.
    Why?

  • You should contact the author of the blog then because we don’t run them, but most likely it’s because they have moderation on on their blog and they have to manually approve comments. Either that, your comments are being marked as spam.

If my comments are marked as spam, how should I get around that? Very few know and have my email address (I hope) and my blog isn’t and never have been a splog.

Should I contact akismet about this?
I use Akismet in my own blog and find it very helpful. It would be bad if it is too helpful.

xenix – as mentioned, it probably just so happens that the blogs you’ve tried have comment moderation on them. it’s got nothing to do with wordpress, akismet, or your site… it’s up to the individual blog owners to regulate what goes into moderation and what doesn’t… contact them.

I get limited number of comments. There are two posts and one is able to received more comments than the other. Is there a limit to the number of comments? If not how do I increase the number of comments

There is no limit on comments – as far as I know.
Maybe visitors are inclined to comment more on certain posts than others…

I’m actually having the same problem with wordpress blogs and have been assured by the moderator that I am not in any mod queues or spam filters. I also notably get a duplicate comment error message, and he says it is an error that has something to do with the “clock” on my end. Using computers in similar IP ranges allows me to comment.
