I’m having a couple of issues.

First off, no matter what I change in NextGen’s styling the upload form looks like this:

How can I change the styling so it will actually work with my theme? I know enough about coding to go into whatever file to make my own styling, I just need to be pointed to the right file.

Secondly, whenever I use the shortcode and upload an image I get all the errors, but it uploads properly, and still sends a notification email when I have that option disabled.

I downgraded NextGen to 1.9.13, because the only thing I need is just a public upload to a separate gallery, and still have all the same issues. Do you have an idea of what’s going on? Or should I downgrade even further than 1.9.13?

    Thanks

What version of our plugin are you using?

To target our public uploader form, you can prefix all of your css selectors with #uploadimage

I know it may sound redundant, but could you explain the steps you’re taking as best you can that are causing the messages to always show? The best I can recreate exactly, the better I can likely debug.

Better yet you can try it out yourself: http://bit.ly/LzoRYO

The only thing I have done is installed 1.9.13 of NextGen and 1.8.1 of Public uploader.

On the test page I have uploaded one photo so you see the gallery, and have both the widget and the shortcode on the page up.

Feel free to upload any image and see the results. Also I noticed that it bypasses the watermarking that is usually added when uploading images to NextGen is that supposed to happen as well?

    Thanks

Did you move the test page? It’s coming up 404 for me.

I did. I came up with another solution to what I was trying to accomplish. Ended up writing a custom script that will handle image uploading to the server without the need of all of nextgen.

If you need it again to do your own debugging for development I can put it back for you though.

    Thanks!

Nah, thanks for the offer though. I’ll stick to what I have locally for now. Glad you came up with a solution regardless 🙂
