Exactly what @edent said. Unfortunately, I hit the upgrade button anyway and it broke the main navigation menu in my child theme. I don’t really understand this since my child theme shouldn’t have anything to do with the main navigation menu.
Luckily, I had 2.8.5 on my local drive and was able to get back to where I started without pain.

You can always download old copies of that theme on the developers tab.

Not always @jan, if you notice, my previous version, 2.8.5, is not available on the page.
Somebody would have to be clever enough to know that Decode is also on GitHub or already have a copy saved locally as I did.

Are you sure 2.8.5 was released to the .org repository to begin with?
I never said that it was… my only point is that I was using 2.8.5 and I’m glad I had a copy saved locally.
I keep change logs on GitHub since this site doesn’t provide a way to show them.

Also, there is no 2.8.5.
Also, version 2.9 mentions the changelog’s existence in the first line of the Readme file.

Wait a second… you gave me a direct link to 2.8.5 here…

It’s in a separate branch. Here’s a link: https://github.com/ScottSmith95/Decode/tree/2.8.5
