Adjusting Permalinks From This Point Forward

I work for a large publication that uses WordPress for it’s website. We have over 5,500 articles posted to our website and have run into a small problem with the permalinks.

In order to be contained on many syndications like Flipbook, we need to have dates within our permalinks, our current permalinks are

website.com/Article-Title

We need to change it to –

website.com/2013/1/16/Article-Title

However, because of social media and the links already present, we would like to change the permalinks while not effecting the old 5500 already in place, to insure no one gets 404 errors. Is there a way to do this effectively?
