    Please do not edit the original theme’s files like that. When the theme gets updated you will lose all of your changes.

    Instead create and activate a child theme of Oxygen.

    Once that’s done if you want to edit the header.php file make an unaltered copy of it into the child theme directory then edit that copy instead.

    Remove the header widget under Appearance > Widgets.
