  • Hi Makapa,

There are no known issues with Smart Crop (not by me, anyway!)

I can see something is adding a random string to the end of your image URLs, so something might be changing them. Have you tried disabling all other plugins? And do you see any error messages when you edit the slideshow?

    Regards,
    Tom.

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for the quick answer.

I quickly disabled all the plugins with the same result. The random string was being added by W3 Total Cache plugin, and now I’ve corrected that.

When I edit the slideshow it looks ok, I’ve checked using save & preview.

I will do some more tests tomorrow and comeback with the results. Any idea is welcomed 🙂

    Hi Tom,

It looks like one of the setting from W3 Total Cache was causing the problem.

The setting was for the browser cache.

I’ve tested this by using a previous backup that required a meta slider plugin update (just to cross that out) and afterwards searching from your pointer.

Thanks again, for now the problem seems to be solved, so I’m gonna gona ahead and close this topic.

    Hi guys,

    Still having the same problem.

    Any idea welcomed.

    Hi Makapa,

I’m a bit confused, did disabling the browser caching bit of W3 Total Cache not fix it?

Please could you try decreasing the height of the slideshow by 1px? This should force meta slider to regenerate your slides.

    Regards
    Tom

    Cheers Tom,

That did the trick, hope for good.

Still don’t now what the issue was – the browser cache just seems to add that random string.

    Thanks again,
