At a guess, at some point you had an automatic script running that posted its results to your blog.

You have the same in June (http://birdbreath.com/blog/?m=200606) and July (http://birdbreath.com/blog/?m=200607), and something similar in April.

Delete the old posts if they serve no purpose.

I just happened upon this thread via a wp-forums email, anyway, I know that you’ve resolved your issue (and i think whatever is happening is kind of strange), but you might consider using something like the email-immunizer plugin which hides all email addresses published on your blog (in posts, pages, etc) from harvesters/spammers by converting the email address strings to either hexadecimal or ASCII character codes.
