changing directories

new to wordpress and i want to make sure i have this straight before i mess anything up…

when my host company installed wordpress for my site (www.mysite.com) it was put into it’s own directory and thus when you want to view the blog you have to go to http://www.mysite.com/wordpress/…i’d like to be able to just go to http://www.mysite.com and see the wordpress files….

so, looking at this http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Within_Your_Site i assume what i need to do (in a condensed version) is update both URI’s in the Options panel to http://www.mysite.com and then log out, go to my ftp and move everything out of the directory /wordpress/ over to the root directory…

is that right? is it that easy? thanks for any help you can provide…
