WordPress.ORG and Web Hosting?

    I am totally new to this so please excuse the lack of content above my neck.

    After weeks of confusion and frustration (that will continue through a myriad of questions that will come), I take it that .ORG does not offer any web hosting services. That is all left to .COM.

    Is that correct?

    You are right. WordPress.org doesn’t offer hosting. But you cna use almost any other hosting company out there. There’s some that are “recommended” on the WordPress site, but there’s also a whole heap more that you can use. Just ask them if they support WordPress and you’ll find a lot that do, and most will have resonable pricing. But.. don’t ask for more specific recommendations because these threads get closed down very quickly due ot the SPAM that questions like this create.

    Thanks, I had come to that conclusion; but, having come to so many erroneous conclusions, I wanted confirmation.

    Have a look at http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ It might clarify some areas for you.
