MySQL said: #1040 – Too many connections

    hi,

    i get THIS message:

    “Error establishing a database connection

    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.”

    when i open my blog!
    if i go to PHPMYADMIN, i get this message:

    MySQL said: #1040 – Too many connections

    what does it mean for me? what can i do so that my blog runs again? it worked a couple of times yesterday…for a few second though…then it only dropped the big error message.

    it means you need to contact your host.

    1040 – Too many connections

    thats a MySQL problem, and your first clue to that ought to be that it occurs within phpmyadmin.

    so, it´s a good thing, that i backuped my database short time ago? 😉

    turns out, they donno what it was but it´s running again.
