Verify Email Validation

So here is my situation:
You hit the landing page and there is an input field for an email and a ‘get started’ button. Once you hit get started the email is pulled into a modal where it is placed into a locked text field and below I need to verify the mail before it gets sent. There is a verify email plugin for contact form 7 but it doesn’t seem to work for this situation. Any ideas for writing something custom with maybe javascript? Thanks!
