Custom Heading Image behind those colors…???

Greetings.

I am totally new to this…

I’ve been trying to load my own header image. I can get it to show up, but it is behind the colors that were my previous header.

Does this mean I placed it incorrectly? (Obviously something is incorrect.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
