Yes, that should be possible, but unfortunately, I don’t have a readily usable solution for that 🙁
You’ll basically need to write some custom JavaScript code here that uses the API functions of the DataTables JS library (see http://www.datatables.net for the API documentation) to trigger the filter process.

If the filter terms are direct cell values, this TablePress Extension might also be an option: http://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-columnfilterwidgets/
