Which WordPress version are you using?

That version is not supported yet as you can see in the “Compatible up to:” field of plugin description.

And WordPress shows a warning message before installing with every plugin that doesn’t match that field with your installed version.

So you installed at your own risk…

I’ll release a new version in a near future.

    oh what a pity. thanks.
is there any other plugin that does the same?
    I have to fix it.

I don’t know about other plugins, I use mine.

And just for the record, the problem with 1.0.2 when using in 3.8 (or 3.7.x) is that it choose the last uploaded picture and not the first. Not random picture as you said.

That happens because since WordPress 3.7 the get_children() function changes the order of returned results.

Anyway I have released 1.1 that have been tested up to 3.8 to work ok.

Wow, cool. That was fast, thanks!

I updated. Anything else I have to do? The pics didn’t change yet.

This plugin only adds featured image, don’t change or remove if one is already set.

If you search in Google you’ll find many tutorials on how to remove previously set featured images.

Oh no 🙁 so i can´t make it unhappen?
Does that even work without programming skills? I only find tutorials how to add featured pics, not how to remove.

    Hi Samuel,

I researched a bit and without programming skills I am not keen to touch my php files. I saw some posts of guys who followed those instructions and lost their images even from the library.

Isn’t there a safer way doing that? I am wondering if its not even possible to change your plugin into one that can remove the featured pic and replace it with the first pic of the article (sorry if that is a stupid question, but that just pops up in my mind, as a total IT amateur). I think that would be a great plugin as well.
