Plugin disappeared after 3.1 update – solved

I updated the plugin on the 23rd with 3.1 and there was a confirmation message that the plugin was upgraded and activated.

Afterwards it disappeared from the menu. Reinstallation did not work, because the directory was there.

The solution was to rename the directory backwpup and to reinstall the plugin.

Everything works fine now.

Seems the issue was that the file backwpup.php was not copied into the directory by the upgrade procedure.
