Adding button to Tagline area

Does anyone know how I can add a button in the tagline area similar to that on the themesandco.com site for ‘Showcase’ and ‘View Demo’?

I remember seeing something about this on the themeandco website in the code snippets section but I cant seem to find it anymore.

I have already figured out how to add buttons as menu items so they appear in the menu area, and are editable in the backend of wordpress. However I would like to add additional buttons in the tagline area.

Can anyone help?
