I just built a website using the Makalu theme, which has LayerSlider WP built in. Updated it to WP 3.8.

Installed W3 Total Cache today. The two sliders I built don’t work. It doesn’t matter if the “Put JS includes to body” Is enabled. The sliders still don’t work.

I have javascript in the header that says there’s a conflict. This script requests jQuery 1.4.2, and the slider needs 1.7.0. However, I deleted all the code related to this and the sliders STILL don’t appear.

Does anyone know how to fix this conflict between LayerSlider WP and W3 Total Cache? I am going to be in real trouble if I can’t use the W3TC plug-in.

We are supposed to launch this site the week of 1/7/14. I will appreciate any help I can get!

I got an answer from the W3 Total Cache team. Here’s what I had to do:

On the General Settings page of the plug-in, change Minify from Auto to Manual.

Ggo to the Minify page and tweak the JS Minify settings as needed.
