  • Do you see Events Categories under Events > Event Categories in the admin of your main site?

No, but I can paste the url to the settings screen in the address bar and then use it. (I just copied that from another site of ours where it does work, and changed the corresponding domain.) I also noticed that there’s an empty category metabox when editing a single event. Looks like something’s wrong there.

Is your EM is network activated or you are using per site activation ?

Network activated. But there’s also no way of controlling categories on the parent site.

    Hiya,

Please check the User Capabilities in the network settings.

Also, are you using any user capabilities plugins like User Role Editor?

    Thanks

User Capabilities are correct by default> I checked for *_event_categories. I do have Members enabled for _one of the sites, but not the one having this issue. I’ve also checked the settings of that plugin for these users, but those look the same: normal (as in admins and editors can handle event categories)

It would be worth deactivating Members temporarily to be sure that’s not causing a problem, even though it shouldn’t.
