Must Install in /html Directory?
-
Hello, I am a little confused. I have created a new MY SQL database for WordPress. I have modified wp-config.php as instructed. I have transferred the files (contained in a folder named “wordpress”) into the top level of my domain.
The instructions say (as I interpret), to access the installation program, I go to:
http://yourhomeincome.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php
However, I just get a screen saying that page doesn’t exist, because typing the “http://” apparently tells the browser to go to the /html directory, which is where all the site pages are stored. I am guessing I have to move the “wordpress” folder to my /html directory, but I see nothing in the instructions indicating that, and I want to be sure.
I use aplus.net as host, if that means anything.
Thanks, Eldon
