    Hi Guys,

I had to move a website from Godaddy to a new hosting. So I used your plugin for a complete backup.
Now I installed wordpress on the new hosting and manually put your backup folders on the FTP.
Only now the “standard” theme is showing, and I can’t see my media, posts, pages etc. Nor do I have my installed plugin settings (I’m sure I unmarked this box)

What do I have to do to put this content back?

PS: I didn’t use the backupped wp-config file, but I used the new server’s file.

  • Hey Ryde,

I’m not 100% sure of your steps, but the plugin isn’t designed to “put content back”. If you moved a site to a new host and installed it their then you should have followed instructions similar to this:

    1. Put the package and installer in the same empty directory and browsed to the installer.
    2. Then create a new database
    3. Connect the installer to the new database and run through the installer steps
    4. If the install succeed and you have issues with the site then you might have to check each of the plugins settings to make sure they were migrated successfully. Did you get any errors on step 3 of the installer?

    Thanks~

    Thanks a lot.

I used the installer and it workes half (must be me doing something wrong)

I had the ultimate lading page plugin installed, since the site isn’t ready yet. This is still there, but if I put /wp-admin/wp-login behind the url I go to the active homepage, although the plugin is installed.

If I than click on another page it still has /wp-admin in the url, but I go to the landing page

Have I put the files in the wrong directory?
    How to solve?

    Thanks

    BR

    Hey Ryde,

You might check the .htaccess file and make sure your permalinks are setup correctly. I would also check with the other plugin authors to see if they have any insights…

    Cheers~
