Drop down menu disables after adding HTML into widget

Hi. I manage my company’s website and I’ve attempted several times to add a particular HTML using the Black Studio TinyMCE widget with the same result. The code itself functions fine but at a cost; it shuts down the drop down function of the top menu. This clearly would not be acceptable to my employer, so I immediately removed the code from the widget.

I’m using template 2105 (purchased at Template Monster) which is currently supported on a 1.2 Cherry theme. I’ve been hesitant to update to 2.4 because I am worried I might lose previous customization. The site is also on WordPress 3.7.1

I would really like to spruce up the company website with this code (it’s a Microsoft advertising banner), but I cannot find a workaround in the support forum.

I think it’s a Java conflict, but this is purely a guess. Any thoughts?
