New User Registration Process Not Intuitive
-
We jsut ran a test run on a non-registered person’s attempt to leave a comment to a post or page.
The process worked well up and until they log-in for the first time after receiving their email with user name and password.
At that point in the process, they are directed to their profile page.
There is not anything (we could find) that is intuitive as to how to go beyond that profile page to either the post or page where they started (as a non-registered visitor), or to the homepage of the site.
What they currently have to do is either have prior knowledge that the site name in the upper left corner of the screen will take them there (which is very much not a logical or evident move); or, have to frustratingly hunt and search to discover the function of that bit of screen content.
Is there a way or setting in WP to have the the visitor taken directly back to the page or post they started from after registering and logging back in? That would be far more intuitive.
Thanks in advance.
