I was just wondering why the posts are overlapping

featured posts should be
Post 1
Post 2
Post 3
Post 4

and latest posts should be
Post 5
Post 6
post 7
post 8

i actually found this questiona already at this link http://wordpress.org/support/topic/featured-and-latest-overlapping?replies=7 but still it doesn’t work for me.

Please help 🙂
