Where do tags come in/from

    When I do a search in Technorati, I can see a tag cloud in the top left that shows me what tags the blog has that I have searched for.

    My question is, how do I influence what is displayed for my own Blog. Can I assign tags to my posts, so that they come up when I search for that tag in technorati?

    I am a bit confused about the Tag topic and hope someone can help me!

    PS Just noticed the Tag-field below the entry field for this post “to help someone find your topic:”. Now that is what i am after I guess.
