Whenever I add even a single <hr /> anywhere inside content, all contents disappeared.

Oh I understand now.
Can you try deactivating all plugins & switching to the default WordPress Twenty Twelve/ Thirteen theme to narrow down the issue? If you’ve done that with no result could you let us know so that we can continue to explore the issue (with all plugins deactivated and the default theme active)?
I disablled all plugins and it worked…..not sure which plugin creating this problem. Can you help?

I would try reactivating plugins one-by-one until it doesn’t work. Then you can find out which one.
I followed your instructions and found that problem in a plugin name WordPress SEO by Yoast. Can you help me how to solve that?
