Text and visual editor issue in 3.7.1
-
I’m using 2011 theme, just upgraded to WP 3.7.1.
37 pages on site; on only one of the pages, in the editor screen, there are issues with the visual and text edit regions. All the issues below are happening on this one page, not in the others:
1. I can’t move from text (formerly html view) to visual, or visual to text; when I open the page, it opens either on visual or text depending on what I had open on the previous page I edited. Whichever one it opens on, I can’t switch to the other.
2. When it opens in visual, nothing shows and the word count is 0. If I highlight the area, the text shows in the highlight in html form, not “visual” form.
3. When it opens in text, the code shows, yet word count is still 0.
4. The horizontal blue bar normally attached to the “Visual” or “Text” buttons, that holds all the options, is gone. Just the buttons are there, in their normal place.
4. The little diagonal dashes icon that marks where you can resize the edit region, sits immediately below the bottom of the scroll bar, within the vertical bar. On all other pages, it sits in the normal place located in the horizontal bar that holds “word count”. Both function fine, though.
5. If I edit in text view, and press “Update”, the spinning wheel next to that button does not appear while the update happens (but it does update).
This occurs in Chrome, FF and Safari. Haven’t tried other browsers. I tried clearing my cache, didn’t help. Looking at other fixes. Any advice is appreciated!
