I attempted to upload my new logo but it shows a broken image.

I then uploaded another image with no problems. Tried to upload old logo , broken image. Now I have a site with no loge. Looks awful.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks Joan

  • Did you solve this before?

    What theme are you using?

Yes thanks, that previous problem was sorted. I use CoachPro from Presscoders.

That problem was to do with how I uploaded it (I did check that before I came to the forum)

It appears to upload some images but now will not upload either the old or new logo???

I added the logo to Media – then just copied the url into the logo area on theme (where old logo was) but it shows a broken image.

This is the text version of the image I was attempting to upload. The visual version is broken.

    <img class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-3391″ alt=”New Logo 2013 60%” src=”http://lifecoach101.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/New-Logo-2013-60%.png” width=”576″ height=”336″ />

Can anyone see anything wrong with that?? When I tried to publish it – it said Error 404.

What is the name of the image file ? Looks weird there.

    New logo 2013 60% png

    Is that what you mean?

    Sorry gave wrong one previously.

The only thing I can see different is that in the first instance it says 60% without the png added. Will that make a difference or is that how it should be?

Yes. Where are you getting that URL from ? When you go to the media library – look for the File URL on the right side of the screen.

And where are you copying it to? How does the theme add logo?

Are you able to upload and display this image as a regular image on your site?

I am uploading the image from my desktop.

I then upload it into Media and copy the text from there. Below is a direction I got from the Theme designer when I had that last problem because I didn’t know how to upload it then. He said ….

“you can go to the media library and upload your logo there then copy the url and paste into theme options to set the logo. That will work perfectly well.”

    This is what I did.

NO I cannot upload this image to media at all.

This is the image URL from the side of the page – BUT the image is broken on the page – New-Logo-2013-60%.png

NO I cannot upload this image to media at all.

But you can upload other images?

In that case, there’s probably something wrong with that image.

Take spaces out of the name to start with – see if that helps.

Where did you get the image from? How big is it?

I had the logo made for me.

I reduced it to 60% of size which is 576 x 336 pxls

    Will try that. Thanks

So that’s where the 60% came from – which is what I said was weird. Take that out.

I reduced it to 60% of size which is now 576 x 336 pxls

Will try that. Thanks I really appreciate your help.

I think what @wpyogi is trying to say is rename the file from ‘page – New-Logo-2013-60%.png’ to ‘new-logo-2013-60.png’

Try taking out any kind of capitalization, the % symbol and unnecessary spaces and upload again.

The files that you are able to upload? How are they named?

grrrrr I decided to start afresh.

I downloaded the image from the creator and didn’t rename it. It is just called jb.

I uploaded it to WP OK, I could see image. Then I copied the URL and when I tried to put it in the theme logo area – it showed up as broken!!!!

    http://lifecoach101.com/?attachment_id=3396

    That’s what I saw as the url – did I get i

    Try using this:
