Please help me with upgrading!!!

    I have a site [moreorlessengaging.com] that I just need to upgrade.. it’s still operating on 1.5.2! I am so lost on how to upgrade while saving all of my themes and plug-ins. If anyone could offer a little advice for my non-techie self, I would so greatly appreciate it!

    I just upgraded a 1.5.2 site today. easy as pie. everything in your wp-content folder is safe

    first, make a backup just in case.

    then, turn off plugins. (i never bothered with that)

    then I replaced the new files right over top the old ones. I went to thedomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin. it said to click something to upgrade, and I did what it said.

    check for plugin updates or turn them back on one by one.

    pretty painless.

    Or you could follow official updates instructions. I like to live dangerously sometimes! 🙂
