After updating WordPress to version 3.7.1 the language initials are showing after every word that is not in the default language.

    To fix this,either

    1) Provide words only in your original language
    2) Add class=”notranslate” to the specific areas that have those words on your website. That should fix a majority of your issues.
    3) Buy the Premium version of Google Translator
    4) or degrade back to WordPress version 3.6.1

  • Thanks, Chanettk! This is not a WordPress 3.7.1 issue though, this might be related to version 2.7 itself for Google Language Translator, or some words on your site might be causing the issue.

The plugin is compatible with 3.7.1.

Chanettk, I’m going to close this as resolved, since other threads address this issue, and the solution provided is not related to version 3.7.1 as the problem.

Please let me know if you still have issues and I will help you.

I really appreciate the post on your findings.

    Thanks, Rob
