• Hello everyone

    http://www.casualvices.com

    After a million tries I can finally see the video from my comp using the following code – no youtube.

    <div align=center>
    <embed src=”http://www.casualvices.com/wp-content/videos/tic-tac wmv.wmv” width=”320″ height=”240″ autoplay=”false” controller=”true” loop=”false” ></embed>
    Click on the PLAY button 2x or more. Or, RIGHT CLICK here and SAVE AS to your computer, and then OPEN after the download completes.
    </div>

    Here’s the question – if a viewer’s default media player is not Windows Media Player but say Quicktime or Realplayer, will they still see the video since the player is already embedded in the post?

    Also, can anyone else see this video, or am I the only one?

    Thanks all
    Colt

  • I may be wrong, but I don’t think Quicktime or RealPlayer can play WMV files. If memory serves me, that file extension is proprietary to Microsoft, so WMP will handle it.

    Thank you Nitallica,

    I guess what I meant was, will the player in my post default to their player?

    about the second question…. were you able to see the video – did it take long to load? or am I the only one who sees it?

    thanks,
    Colt

    I can see it fine, it took only a few seconds to load. 🙂
