Cropped slides

I want nothing to do with the 940 size. Everything is being converted to it automatically. Here is the code from Firebug,<img class=”attachment-featured-slide wp-post-image” width=”940″ height=”200″ title=”Slide 6″ alt=”cropped-slide-34.jpg” src=”http://www.gonzosbiggdoggbrewing.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/cropped-slide-34-940×200.jpg”&gt;. Is there any way I can change this image class? The images are fine in the media library, they just don’t post at their actual size. All my images are 1000px x 800px. Have all the files in the media library been corrupted, once they were made into slides. I have reinstalled the slide program several times do I need tp delete the images and start from scratch.
