I’ve set up the WordPress with latest BuddyPress (and bbPress) for a closed group of people. As they wanted it to be private I’ve installed your plugin but now new users can’t activate their accounts (I have invitation code set up to keep away unwanted users).

When they register they get an e-mail with activation URL but when they click on it they are taken to Login page instead and won’t let them activate it! As if the activation page is blocked unless you’re logged in. Activation works if I uncheck Private site box.

I even tried plug-in ‘BP Auto Login on Activation’ to try to bypass this problem but still wouldn’t work. Can you please help? Thank you.

  • I will go through that scenario on my test system, and release Version 2.4.2 of the plugin ASAP, to address this.

Within the next 24 hours, probably a lot sooner.

Thanks for pointing this out. I missed this when I added BuddyPress support in Version 2.4.

Installed it and it works. Thank you very much!

Thanks man … you saved my life… this activation was giving me a problem.

One more request, can you please guide me, how could I make certain pages (viz about us , contact etc) public while using your awesome plugin

That would be very helpful. Anyways thanks a lot for this plugin

Sorry for the delay. The WordPress support forum was Down for several hours.

    Take a look here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/more-visible-pagesposts?replies=2

I’ll have an update there in the next 24 hours.
