Watermark Gallery Carousel Images

    So this may not be a plugin related issue but it is related so let me ask here.

    The Watermark has worked well for inserted media. I noticed if we use the iOS app to upload the image, it is not automatically watermarked. Anyone else seeing this?

    Also, we have set to watermark Large and Medium pre-sets in WordPress. But when we use the WordPress default Gallery to load images into Carousel (Jetpack plugin), the lightbox loads the full sized image so the watermark is never inserted. Since we should not watermark any full sized originals, how is everyone else getting around this Gallery showing full sized image issue?

    This is exactly my problem too. Lightbox galleries generally display the ‘full’-size image (when opened) – the one that is suggested not to be watermarked.

    It is not a real solution to the problem, but by using the excellent Enable Media Replace plugin, you can replace your watermarked images to non-watermarked ones.

    So if you previously watermarked your full-size images, you can easily revert to the original ones (if necessary).

    I wrote a code snippet to help you modify native gallery links to point to any file size you want.

    It works with Responsive Lightbox and will soon become an option in RL plugin.

    Some notes to others: you should insert the code snippet into your ‘functions.php’ file (Appearance > Editor > Theme Functions / functions.php).

    Save your functions.php, and go to a post with a gallery. When opening the lightbox, ‘large’ images will be displayed (instead of full-size ones).
