wordpress 3.7.1 link catagory gone

    When adding the new WordPress to a new site I noticed that the “links” category has gone from the dashboard sidebar.
    When I update an existing WP, the link category is still there.

    I wanted to delete all existing links from the theme before I started, any idea?
