hello there,
normally it’s not the logic of breadcrumbs and how it’s work.. you will have to style the wp_liste_pages .. here is the guide : Link
otherwise you can try a plugin like Full Breadcrumb or Breadcrumb NavXT
Hope that help!
I thought breadcrumbs were already in the Customizr theme?
Relocated this site. Lost all my links. Problem still seems to be there. New home: http://www.coldheartedcustomcycles.com/
Breadcrumbs are in the Customizr theme. Typically, this problem is due to CSS hiding the breadcrumb above the Header block.
On your above site, there are no sub-pages to view to test it
Sorry about that, I moved the site up to the root and broke all my links. There are sub-menus now.
If you look at the Troubled Past page, you’ll see the breadcrumb trail skips the Custom Builds parent page.
Just looked at my Customizr test site and I get the same issue. I’ll ask @nikeo to look at it…
Hi,
To make a page child from another, you have to set the parent (in the page attributes block) when editing the page.
This way it will be displayed well in the breadcrumb and also in the rewrited url : http://www.mywebsite.com/parent-page/child-page.
Defining a page as parent in the menu is not actually setting it as parent from a WordPress standpoint.
Hope this will help,
Cheers
@rdellconsulting : There was a incorrect child / parent settings in the demo for level2 pages. Just fixed it following the principles described in my previous message.
Cheers and thanks (again!) for pointing this out.
Thanks so much for the help!
I’m still learning my way with all of this, I’ve never used wp before this and you have been a great help.
@nikeo that’s so much for a wonderful theme, it’s wonderful.
It worked! Problem solved! Thanks again!
Cool! You’re welcome @jfranko!
If you have appreciated the help a review of the theme would be a really appreciated way to say thank you! (you don’t have to of course, just if you feel like it!)
Bests, and thanks for using Customizr.
Done!
5 stars from me! You guys are great.
