• I tried editing a page with the Page Builder plugin, and after that, I couldn’t get the page to load.

To try to fix it, I renamed the folder that my WP files were in. Now none of the pages (except the Home page) will load. I get the dreaded “Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”

I tried deleting that (had to settle for renaming) and making a brand new one in a different folder, but I’m still having the same issue.

NOTE: I have Yahoo! which doesn’t have the .htaccess file, so I can’t go that route, if that is indeed the issue.

    – Tried the permalinks fix. Didn’t work.
    – Both WordPress Address and Site Address are the same and correct.

Anyone have any ideas or know how to fix this? I’ve been at this all afternoon.

  • Renaming WP folders will break your site.

If possible, undo/reverse the renaming of folders.

Then try to disable the plugin.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I tried. Unfortunately, didn’t work. I renamed it back to the old folder name, replaced everything in the settings to the old name, and deleted all the plugins.

Hmmm, not sure what else to suggest, maybe someone else will.

Firefox will often give that error if it is not accepting cookies.

Just in case anyone ever needs to figure this out, there is a link called “Blog Manager” under “Blog Tools” on the “Create & Update” tab where you can delete any previous WordPress blogs you’ve created. (You should obviously save whatever you want to save beforehand.) You can deactivate from there, which will delete all your files. Then create a new one.

That was the only way I was able to “fix” the issue.

    Thanks for your help, wpfan1000.
