@wishbonex – The article you are referring to is a little out of date. To add images via a ZIP file either use the ATP and click on the Add Gallery / Images tab; or, see Gallery > Add Gallery / Images from the side menu.
Both offer the ability to drag and drop or browse to select the “zip” file you want to use.

Hi Cais,
thanks for your answer, but this is how I used to do it, but the option “upload via zip-file” is not there (anymore).
I am using WP 3.7 (German) and NGG 2.0.33
My screens look like this, only 2 options:
http://www.aconcagua.de/wp-content/gallery/addis-1/ngg3.jpg
http://www.aconcagua.de/wp-content/gallery/addis-1-2/ngg1.jpg
I can not browse to the created zip-file on my PC to upload it.
Any other ideas?
Kind regards
Christian
@wishbonex: The new interface allows you to upload / drag images or zips via the same interface. Interface is a bit different, but same functionality is there. If you look on your screenshots above, right in the middle of the place where you can drag files to it says
“Drag Image and Zip Files Here or Click Add Files”
If you are unable to drag a zip file into that space, or unable to select one while browsing, that would be a separate bug of some kind. But for now, I just want to be sure you can use that interface to add zip files.
Hi,
thanks for further explanation. I must have been kind of blind/dumb.
I simply had to change the data suffix in the window that opens after browsing to the desired folder to “All files” to click the zip-files instead of folders.
Sorry for the hassle! Still find the former version (as in the screenshots) more practical.
Keep up the good work!
Christian
