when creating an event, you can set the visibility to private under publish metabox.

No chance to get a selection box in the page with any php code? I mean without metabox?
Angelo means the standard Publish panel you’ll see towards to the top right of the Add / Edit Event page in WP admin. Click Edit next to Visibility and you’ll see the option to choose Private.

Yes I know, but i use buddypress and use a normal page to create an event. Not the standard publish panel. If you can, register you.

Ok, then you’d need to copy and modify the BuddyPress templates that come with Events Manager. You’ll find them under /events-manager/templates/buddypress/
