Admin Columns has never change how the User searching works. It’s the default WP user search you are using.
If you want to seach within custom fields I can recommend using: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-custom-fields-search/

I ran a couple tests last night and it looks like the Pro add-on plugin is causing this issue.
When I turn off the Pro add-on, the search works fine and will include custom fields in the search.
When I turn the plugin on, the search only works for the default WP fields(username, email, etc).
Any ideas or anything else I should try?
My client is requesting to use both functions, search and column sorting.
Currently, only one or the other will work at a time.

This is still an issue for me.
I’m testing with two separate admin accounts.
account A; searches correctly and all user fields and all users.
account B; only searches a limited number of users.
Is there a fix for this?
