List Category Posts Widget

I downloaded the plugin List Category Posts. It is supposed to create a list of recent posts in a particular category. When I activated it and tried to create a recently posted list for a category, it did it but all the other items in my sidebar disappeared. Also, it seems the widget will only create a recently posted list for ONE category. If you try to have a recently posted list for a different category, it just replaces the first one.

Does anyone know why it erases all the other items in the sidebar? Is there not a widget that can create recently posted lists for ALL my categories?
