Customer Login, general question

I’m working on someones website, and they need a user registration/login page with captcha. I have seen several plugins for login without captcha, or just captcha plugins, but every time I see how users like it in the comments, I see nothing but a ton of problems with them not working together. Can anyone point me to a tutorial, or give me some advice on how to get a user registration/login with captcha working on a wp site?

Any tutorials I’ve found that do both are super old and no longer work.

There are plugins that will let you place a Login shortcode on a page:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=login+shortcode

Then if someone truly believes human beings must be challenged at Login, you might look at the possibility of adding something like Easy Captcha:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=login+captcha

Better yet, maybe try to figure out how to add captcha only for failed login attempts. I had someone working on a plugin to do that, but then abandoned that idea after getting some better overall security in-place.

Having a strange problem with people trying to login to my site. If they have their browser set to http there is no problem but if they use https they are rerouted to another site. Any ideas?

Thanks, I’ll try that. I was hoping someone knew of two that worked together. I’ve seen lots of people say they like Theme My Login, but I had heard that captcha didn’t work with it (through random comments, I haven’t tried it yet). I’ll try a few combinations today though, thanks!
