Override Category Filtering for Specific Post

Any chance there’s an update (I know it’s been 2 years so not likely)? It’d be great to be able to override category level filtering for specific posts i.e. if a category is filtered out, a post within that category could be put back into the consideration set.

It’d be a shame to have to fork the code 🙂
